Spirits High Despite Defeat

croker3“We’re heart broken”, was the consensus of our Girls Gaelic Team who narrowly lost to Scoil Eoin in a tough decider in Croke Park this morning.  “Bloodied but unbowed”, was the view of the two Niamhs who led them to the Final.  “We’re really proud of how hard they worked and be sure of this, we will be back”.

Only two points separated the sides at the final whistle and this despite the supreme efforts of Captain Caitlin Guiden and Vice-Captain Carla Barnes.  Our backs were stalwart in defense and there was no doubting that “Man-of-the-Match” was Kate Collins who was ably assisted by Kim Feehily and Katie O’Sullivan.
