WOW for Haiti with “Operation Transformation”

optransformarionAs you know tomorrow is a WOW day. This month we are holding a non-uniform tracksuit day on that day to raise much needed funds for the people of Haiti. Children wear any tracksuit they like so that they are comfortable when they walk, at least part of the way to school. Any car entering Grove Road on Wednesday will be offered an opportunity to make a contribution to the fund. Walking buses will depart from the usual venues for those wishing to take part. Connor O’Connor, a parent from our school, who is one of the Leaders in RTE’s Operation Transformation, will lead the Biscayne walking bus which departs Biscayne Green at 8.30 with the Operation Transformation Team following the bus. Hopefully all the ―buses‖ will arrive at the school at the same time. So, this is your opportunity to have your 10 seconds of fame! Get those trainers on and put your best foot forward! The Student Council will organise the collection and counting of the money for Haiti and let you know how much was raised. The usual donation is €2 per child for a non uniform day but we would urge you to be as generous as possible. The Haitian people badly need all the help we can give them.
