Well done to all the children who took part in ‘An Taisce’s Big Travel Challenge’. A huge proportion of children walked for all fifteen days and in total we covered a distance of 4,563 km during the month of February. Some children walked huge distances every morning from Robswall, Biscayne, Seapark, Killeen , The Warren and Abington! The challenge now is to keep walking and help reduce your carbon footprint and play a part in reducing global warming. Well done Ollies and a big thank you to all the teachers, parents and local neighbours for their help and support.
Tá an-craic agus ceoil againn in Ollies an seachtain seo do Seachtain na Gaeilge. Táimid ag déanamh alán rudaí as Gaeilge agus táimid ag cleachtadh gach lá don ‘Lá Glas’ ar an Aoine. Táimid ag baint taitneamh as an seachtain. Tá gach éinne ag baint usáid as Gaeilge agus ag gáire agus ag canadh gach lá. Tá rang a cúig ag déanamh ‘Tráth na gCeist’ san iarnóin inniu agus tá gach rang ag damhsa sa halla amárach freisin. Cliceáil ar an ‘link’ thíos. Seo é na Naíonáin ag cleachtadh. (Cas do cheann agus bain taitneamh as:-) )
Tá ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’ @SnaGaeilge fós ar siúl in Ollies i Mullach Íde! Tá clár ama don seachtain againn le rudaí an-speisialta. Beimid ag cleachtadh don Slamhra Lamha gach maidin sa chlos. Beidh ‘Seo Tailline’ againn ar an Mháirt, Tráth na gCeist ar an Luain, Céili Mór ar an Déardaoin agus Lá Glas ar an Aoine. Táimid ag tnúth leis an seachtain.
There is great excitement in the school today as the Lego exhibition has finally arrived. All of the children have been invited to ‘display/present’ their Lego in our school hall which has has led to an enormous exhibition.
All classes will get to visit the exhibition today with the inventors exhibiting their work and answering all questions. Rumour has it also that the T.V cameras from News 2day will be here so tune in later next week to see the wonderfully industrious boys and girls from Ollies bring’ Lego to a new dimension’.
Every class in the school has representatives who have worked tirelessly in order to make this day happen. It is is Lego creativity at its best and there is great ‘pride’ on Grove road this morning.
A big thanks to the student council whom are collecting, managing and organising the event. Well done to all on the ‘Lego team’!
